Here are some effective time management techniques to plan and prioritize your office time to work more efficiently.

1.Know your goals

Work on tasks and activities that are productive. Perform in order to achieve your short term and long term goals. Everything else should be kept of the chores.

2.Prioritize  

Time taken to complete your work usually takes longer than expected. So always use your time wisely. Tasks that are important and urgent must be given more priority.

3.Plan your work

Before you begin a day’s work take 10-15 minutes to schedule that day’s goals and works. Don’t worry when you are going off the schedule if any unexpected work comes up, be back on that schedule once you finish the urgent work.

4.Eliminate distractions

Reduce the distractions by your colleague or your own cell phone. Tell your mind to focus and give promise to give it a break once you are done with a planned work. If any of your colleague asks for help don’t help that moment when you are doing yours, either cancel it or keep it for later.

5.Multitasking

Multitasking is a talent and use it when you are extremely good at it. If you are not good don’t even bother to do it because then you will take more time than it require. So practice little multitasking off-work to better at it.

6.Ask help whenever you need

Don’t always be independent and a hard worker, because sometimes you wouldn’t have the time and in those time asking for help and doing smart work is okay. But don’t make it a habit to seek help when you have enough time to do a work, it can affect your work ethics.
